Hair Assistant

At Farida Studio, our philosophy is simple: we put our guests first, and we believe the real difference in every service is love. We are looking for a full-time or part-time Hair Assistant who understands that the salon experience is built on care, comfort, and attention to detail. We are a small, dedicated team, and we’re looking for someone who brings a helpful, warm presence and a strong work ethic to our studio space.

The Role

This position is an excellent opportunity to grow within a supportive environment while ensuring our hair section runs beautifully. In this role, you will directly assist our stylists by washing and rinsing guests’ hair, brushing out clients, and preparing them for their services. Because the comfort of our guests relies on a seamless environment, you will also be responsible for keeping the studio area tidy, maintaining and restocking our retail shelves, and handling basic daily cleaning to keep our space serene and welcoming.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualifications: To meet New York State standards, you must either hold a valid NYS Cosmetology license/temporary permit or be currently enrolled in an accredited cosmetology program.
• The Vibe: A helpful, proactive attitude. You enjoy anticipating the needs of both the stylists and the guests to keep the day flowing smoothly.
