Vasken Demirjian

Cosmetology Graduate
Surprisingly, Vasken started his career journey as an archeologist. He ended up purchasing a salon, now Vasken Salon, when he decided it was time for a change in his professional life. That purchase led him to enrolling at Capri Cosmetology Learning Centers to learn about hair. He realized that this was something he loved and after graduation he went on to become a Master Colorist. Not only is Vasken’s salon incredibly successful now, but he is still very involved with Capri at both our campuses in Newburgh and Nanuet. He is a guest speaker, lends his experience, and often looks to Capri graduates when he is hiring.
Brittney Weiss
Owner and Lead Stylist of BWBridal
Cosmetology Graduate
Brittney has been a stylist for more than 10 years. Her path into the beauty world wasn’t clear from the beginning. First, she pursued a traditional college path at nursing school before deciding that she wanted to turn a career out of her passion for hair. Brittney found the most value in her education at Capri from stylists and extracurricular learning opportunities that were made available to her. Her experience from learning hands on at school helped her realize her true passion was updos and led her to becoming a bridal stylist. She continues her education all the time to stay up on the trends and stay current.
Samantha Hack

Esthetics Graduate
Samantha is a 2017 graduate of our esthetics program. She really valued the culture of Capri where students and teachers cheer each other on. Everyone really helped her succeed at school, even when the curriculum was challenging. Samantha felt the biggest benefit of her experience was taking advantage of working in the student spa. Being able to practice her skill and technique on real clients (while supervised by licensed pros) helped Samantha develop the talent that led her to open her own business.
Kristen Hadley

Esthetics and Make-Up Graduate
Kristin successfully completed Capri’s Esthetics and Make-Up program at our Nanuet, NY Campus. Having been in the cosmetology industry for over 25 years, Kristen has experience in many different aspects of the beauty world and not just esthetics. She has experience as a hairstylist, as a nail technician, and as an employee at a beauty supply business, but has now found what she loves which is skincare, makeup, and lashes. Kristen is currently running Amity Beauty with a fellow Capri Grad!
Claudia Cruz
Owner of The Great Studio
Cosmetologist Graduate
Claudia is a 2012 graduate of our cosmetology program. She decided to pursue a beauty career when she realized traditional college wasn’t for her. While at Capri, Claudia knew she wanted to own her own business and valued learning all about the foundations of business and beauty. After Capri she went on to start her own studio in Poughkeepsie, NY named The Great Studio. Since school, Claudia has also been recognized on some of the top national magazines and social media pages, such as Behind The Chair, Modern Salon and American Salon. She was also a finalist in the Behind the Chair One Shot Awards in 2017 and 2018. Today, Claudia continues to travel, network and build her brand.
