The Art & Science of Hair
In search of a salon assistant who is serious about growing their hairdressing career. We are looking for an individual who is currently enrolled or recent graduate from a school of cosmetology. Requires a New York State Appearance Enhancement License or is close to obtaining one.
This is an entry level position. 2 days to start Wednesday and Friday’s, some Saturdays.
Job duties as follows: assist stylists by ensure their work flow runs smooth, shampooing, blow drying, greet guests, keep salon in order and neat, restock inventory, salon laundry and other house keeping tasks. Assist in reception duties, answering phone calls. Excellent communication skills are important.
Must be confident, enthusiastic, and coachable.

Job Type: Part-time Schedule: Wednesday’s 3:00pm ’till closing – 8:00pm (ish) Friday’s 2:00 pm – closing between 7:00-8:00pm. Saturday’s as needed 9:45 – Closing, around 4-5pm.
Our goal is to have you start taking clients within a 6-12 month time range.
