2.5 Foil Highlights Slicing
Foil Highlighting using the Slicing technique is similar to Foil Highlighting using the Weaving technique but with one important difference. Using this technique will add more Hair Color into the clients hair design. This lesson demonstrates the technique of applying foils utilizing the Slicing Technique.
2.6 Foil Highlights Weaving
Foil highlighting was introduced to our industry in the 1970's to create the look of hair being lightened by the sun. The technique was applying foils using a weaving technique to create a subtle look of hair being lightened naturally. This lesson demonstrates the application of highlights utilizing the Weaving Technique.
2.7 Surface Painting
Surface Painting, also know as baliage, is a creative way to introduce Hair Color to the client. You as the designer have the freedom to control how much or how little Hair Color you apply. This lesson demonstrates a quick, easy way to apply streaks of color utilizing a Hair Color Brush.
2.8 Shoe Shine Technique
The Shoe Shine Technique is a fun way to introduce a client into Hair Color. This technique only apply's Hair Color to the clients ends of their hair. It can be only used for specific types of hair designs. This lesson demonstrates the correct technique for applying Hair Color or Bleach utilizing the Shoe Shine method.
2.9 Color Gun Technique
The Color Gun is a specialized tool that gives you the ability to introduce Highlights or Low Lights into a clients hair design. This tool will give you the ability to apply Hair Color and create a full head of Highlights or Low Lights in much less time than a traditional foil highlight or low light. This lesson demonstrates the proper use and application of the Color Gun.
2.10 Double Process
When a client cannot achieve the amount of lightness they want to achieve in their hair color with a one process it requires pre-bleaching and then recoloring. This lesson demonstrates the proper application of bleach utilizing an Applicator Bottle.
2.11 Cap Highlights
All highlights started as Cap Highlights. Although this technique is underused today the ability to perform a Cap Highlight will one day come in handy when foils are impossible to do on a client. This lesson demonstrates the proper technique for performing a Cap Highlight.
2.12 Halo Technique
This lesson will demonstrate a technique utilizing foiling as the basis and placement of these foils to create a Halo within the hair design. Another term used for this is Peekaboo color.
2.13 Back to Back Slices
This lesson utilizes the Foil Slicing technique to create an area too large to color with just one foil. By placing foil slices Back to Back without leaving hair in between the foils an area of a design can be enhanced with color. This technique is also used for adding much more color into a design than a normal foil technique will.
